Re: jpegli - new and clever jpeg encoder
I would like to use the JPEG LI Encoder in XnViewMP preferred for batch conversions. A further 'export to JPEG-LI' entry in file menu is not required. Later you can add it in XnConvert, too. The JPEG LI encoder (cjpegli.exe executeable file) needs a special uncompressed picture file format (e.g. PNG...

Re: jpegli - new and clever jpeg encoder
I first saw the new jpegli encoder in the freeware xl converter 0.98 (picture conversion tool) https://codepoems.eu/xl-converter/ The results of the new jpeg encoder jpegli are fantastic! The high visual quality and extreme compression are at the same level as WEBP / AVIF and nearby JPEG XL. The com...

Re: MP 1.6.5 - background remover - working with 2 layers?
In PDF, TIFF, etc. files it is possible to switch between the layers or sides. This kind of solution I would like to see for background remover. But if it is too complex to realize, you can leave the removed background in clipboard. So everybody can paste it in a new file to connect both images crop...

MP 1.6.5 - background remover - working with 2 layers?
The new AI background remover ist amazing.
Is it possible to remove the background and leave the removed area in a second layer?
This will be a nice feature to modify the picture, if the AI remover destroy important areas of the picture.

The first column of the the spreadsheet is too small.
In some languages the button text get cut and you do not see the whole button text.
In the screenshot there is one char missing in the german translation 'installieren' so you can see 'nstallieren' only.

Re: Background remover
Thank you! Now it works perfect und very fast. :D :D :D Unbelievable, the results are very good with different portrait photos. The background remover has only a problem with white objects or clothing in portrait photos, but this is a difficult task for every AI program. :) --- I sometimes use xnvie...

Okay, then do not remove them. Recycle Bin would be useful.

XnViewMP 1.6.4 - Browser Window - Recycle Bin - System settings visible, but without function
In XnviewMP I tried to open the red marked entrys in browser window (e.g. recycle bin, system controls, etc.). All of them are without function. Maybe network works, if you have a network. I know, it is impossible to use them within Xnviewmp. Is it possible to remove them or make them invisble? At l...

Re: Show JXL EXIF metadata
This is a great idea. The stable jpeg xl version 0.9.0 is now available and support it.
I hope to see it in one of the next releases of XnViewMP.

1.6.3 - Batch conversion - action list [solved]
I often use the batch conversion dialog with different conversion presets (action: resize to longest side, etc.). In XnviewMP 1.6.2 and older versions the last used action list was saved after closing the batch dialog. In version 1.6.3 this bevaiour changed. The action list will not be saved, but al...

Re: Subject: 1.6.2: JPEG-XL decoder needs update for 0.10 encoded images
I do not know how many photos you have in Jpeg XL format. I encoded some jpeg pictures with an early version of jpeg xl 0.30. To get the best compatibility to newer releases of jpeg xl library, I decoded my very old jpeg xl files to jpeg format again (without recompression) and transcoded them with ...

Re: 1.6.1 - create multi-page file - tiff settings - Metadata checkboxes are broken
How do you want to use meta datas (e.g. EXIF) from different files in one new tif picture file?
As far as I know it is only possible to save one meta data in the new multi-page file.
