Re: JPEG-XR export does not work

Hello, I use XnView MP Version 0.92 and both save modes for jpeg-xr "save as" and "export" work fine.

Which version do you use?

How did you save the file?

Re: 0.92 language mix in dialogs

In the settings menue => Browser => Thumbnail => labels all words are in english.
Maybe it is possible to translate them in the future, too? Most of the words are used in other parts of the program and you do not need to translated them again.

Re: XnViewMP 0.91 - Estimated time for batch processing

Today I got the problem again with the wrong estimated time. At the beginning XnViewMP shows a wrong end time. After several minutes the estimated time get realistic! I converted many jpeg files with 5616x3744 pixels to webp file format (90% compression, filter strength=20, compression level 6) with...

Re: Please update to webp 1.0.0

Pingo ist for me the best, free and fastest (multicore cpu usage) png/jpeg optimizer! The developer designed a frontend (pinga), too. The PNG optimization is impressive und up to 50%. Webp is an interesting file format, but not so popularly. It is a shame. But the same problem has JPEG XR and other ...

Re: XnViewMP 0.91 - Estimated time for batch processing

Strange. I can not reproduce the wrong estimated time error from my screenshot. In XnViewMP 0.92 it works fine. --- I got this error with 0.91 beta #5 (?). Yes, I used JPEG to JPEG conversion and only reduce longer picture sides to 2048 pixel, if bigger. After the start of batch conversion, the rema...

Re: Background Processing

You can start XnviewMP mit many instances of the program. That should be a workaround for your problem. I tried it for batch processing. Many functions of it use 1-2 cpu cores only. You do not save much time, because often the files for batch processing are on the same ssd/harddisk. I tried it and t...

Re: Open with PSE 15

PSE 15 = Photoshop Elements 15 --- I use XnViewMP 0.92 and use the "open with" function in XnViewMP to open files in Photoshop Elements 15, too. It works perfect! Maybe you do not use the lastest XNViewMP Version 0.92 or the configuration use a wrong path to Photoshop Elements 15! Look for the direc...

XnViewMP 0.91 - Estimated time for batch processing

I converted around 7.000 pictures with a high resolution from digital camera to a smaller format for my tablet to save space. The estimated time calculation is absolutely unrealistic. The estimated end time is before the current time, most of the time the remaining time shows 0:00 minutes/seconds. A...

Re: 0.91 - sometimes generates thumbnails with wrong orientation and stretch the orignal picture

Great idea.

I tried the same test with XnViewMP 0.90 and the thumbnails do not get stretched and are correct.

If I resize the original file to 600 x 800 pixels and try it again with beta 0.91 beta #4 , there won't be a problem.

The problem should be new since XnViewMP 0.91 beta.

0.91 - sometimes generates thumbnails with wrong orientation and stretch the orignal picture

I browsed a new folder with many jpeg pictures ( more than 100) and one thumbnail in browser view mode get a wrong orientation and the thumbnail image will be stretched. The original picture is in portrait format and xnviewmp detects the picture as landscape format and stretch the original picture t...
