Hello Pierre,
Attached is a normal .jpg, converted using cjxl (https://github.com/libjxl/libjxl) to .jxl while keeping existing metadata, readable with ExifTool.
TIA

Show JXL EXIF metadata
Please implement reading JXL EXIF metadata (such as Aperture, ISO, etc.). ExifTool already supports reading (and writing) such metadata.
Thanks for considering.

Re: How to remove metadata
Hi Pierre , Thank you for adding this. The dialog looks different for Browser and Viewer though, is that intended? The one in Viewer has less checkboxes (e.g. "Optimize Huffman table" is missing). Also, Edit - Clean metadata... - Cancel, shows the image with * in front of its filename, as if it was ...

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
Not sure I understand - what do you mean by "profile used in the image" and "original profile"?
Also, so, you confirm the difference in saving using "Save as" and "Export"?
TIA

Re: 0.88: Batch-Convert - Guetzli JPEG not working
I have to agree here that some warning should be mentioned when selecting Guetzli with an unsupported quality setting. Had to Google to get to this thread, wondering why no output files were produced while the log clearly said everything went fine.

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
Very strange. If I open a JPG image which includes an ICC profile and use Save as... to simply save it then it retains the ICC profile.
(Of course, "Keep ICC profile" must be checked in the JPG write options.)

Re: Export... removes ICC profile
Hello Pierre,
I think Save as... also includes the ICC profile.
Is there a way then to "copy" the profile from the original image to the image after export, please? And is there any other metadata that is lost when using Export...?
TIA

Hi,
XnView MP 1.0 64-bit.
Why does "Export..." to JPG not include the ICC profile of the original image if "Remove all Metadata" is not checked?
TIA

JPG "Save as" vs "Export" - 6x size difference
Hi, XnView MP 1.0 64-bit, Windows 10. I was trying to reduce the size of the attached image Original.jpg. I wanted to resize it to 50% x 50% and save it as JPG with a Quality setting of 80. So, first I resized the image using these settings: Resize.png Then I used Save as... using the following sett...

Re: How to remove metadata
Any chance this could be added to Viewer, not only to Browser, please? I spent a few minutes wondering and googling how to remove metadata in XnView MP until I found out I must exit the Viewer to see the menu item in Browser.
