Re: openSUSE: XnView doesn't start

/opt/XnView/XnView: error while loading shared libraries: libgstapp-0.10.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Several links below explained that this can be solved via "apt install libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0", however this package was updated and is no longer availab...

Re: openSUSE: XnView doesn't start

I experienced the same with Kubuntu. XnView stopped opening since several weeks now in Lux. Today I deinstalled it and reinstalled the newest v0.83 deb package. Installation finished successfully, but the window is not displaying while opening a picture or XnView directly. I also chmodded (within fo...

Logical file sorting (1.jpg -> 2.jpg instead of 1.jpg -> 10)

Hello everyone, this works like a charm in classic XnView and logical sorting is applied: 1.jpg -> 2.jpg -> 3.jpg -> 4.jpg -> 5.jpg -> 6.jpg -> 7.jpg -> 8.jpg -> 9.jpg -> 10.jpg -> 11.jpg However in XnViewMP it looks like this (no logical sorting): 1.jpg -> 10.jpg -> 11.jpg -> 2.jpg -> 3.jpg -> 4.jp...

Re: File Browser and menubar in viewer

@RGhost A video says more than thousand pictures ;) Found a general crash. When several categories are set for an imge, XMP crashes. You just have to search for the category (or both) and select the picture. This is persistens, thus when you open the normally with a doubleclick in windows afterwards...

File Browser and menubar in viewer

Hello, I found the following bugs in the current MP: Browser View: horizontal scrollbar of tree view jumps automatically to the left when folder is load (on long paths) Screen-2013-05-26_14-42.png MP Settings: Directory paths are saved even when "Enable thumpnail caching" is deactivated and path is ...

Re: Fit image to desktop, large only (from normal xnview)

Fit image to desktop is the standard behavior of IrfanView (however that is not an option because it has no real browser).

Would even be great to know why it takes so long to implement this. Is it because it's complex or can we never expect that in XnView MP?

Re: Fit image to desktop, large only (from normal xnview)

Indeed, however I only know 2 applications that have this behavior as standard. One of them doesn't even offer a menu bar (both have no file browser). Concerning Linux and v1.9x: maybe there's a problem with the Unity desktop (Ubuntu), can you reduce normal windows?

Re: Fit image to desktop, large only (from normal xnview)

I like the idea of being able to browse through my gallery while also seeing what's going on on desktop. No other big image viewer is capable of doing this (the last was ACDSee v10).

Fit image to desktop, large only (from normal xnview)

Hello, please integrate the "Fit image to desktop, large only" feature from the normal xnview in xnview MP. Also it would be great to hide the menu bar just in viewer . These are the 2 things that prevent me from using MP as the main image viewer. Maybe someone has a status on these ones or knows if...

Re: Same old bugs

Here's a screen: I've tried with a picture (same size), and i have no scrollbar. The menu bar is only on 1 line Maybe it's because you're using the english language file like I pointed out in the first post? I've attached the image and my config file. Please let me know if you were able to reproduc...

Re: Same old bugs

What do you means by reduce??? Scaled down. You need to check how much space the actual user config (with all toolbars) takes on the screen. Then you can calculate the available screen space and set the parameters to adjust/zoom the image to fit the screen. Again, currently large images are not sca...

Same old bugs

Hello, still the image is not reduced, although the setting High Quality Zoom > Reduce is activated. This happens on large images when Auto Image Size > Fit window to image is used. The second bug is also caused by FWTI. When a language is used that's words are larger than the english words in file ...

Re: XnView vs. ACDSee: Slow..? (Part 2)

XNView wasn't evaluated, it's a great browser but its not yet a professional DAM product . Just curious but whats missing from XnView that you would find in a "professional" DAM product? Compared to ACDSee I'd say speed: BTW: it would be really great if one could hide the menu bar in viewer only. B...
