I guess it doesn't properly support ICC color profiles actually,
and so XnView handles color space not like PS.

You can save the options as a single Script in:

- XnView's own format .xbs
or
- common .bat/.cmd files.

Thats actually the only solution,
there is no default script at the moment,
that can be loaded, maybe a feature request?!

I've not seen ACDSee supports any Tag-Infos (MetaTags), maybe this speeds up the loading time, but don't let you edit it, if you need and work with them. :) Also please check your settings here in XnView: Options - View - Misc Cache [] Read one image ahead [] Keep current image in cache Options - Vi...

Is your opinion only viewer thumbnails are too slow? - There are several options, which can have effect to the load sequance like preprocessor settings, for example (extra) sharpen, no usage of embedded thumbnails and so on.. also: is 'use high quality' on? ACDSee Classic 2.43 loads it maybe faster,...

If you are refer to a MD5 collisions: Yes, it is technical possible, but just in very rare cases. I surely know about how to signature files, but at least I would be the only one, that would do it and you're the only one, who would need. You maybe forget the possible more work behind. Not at least, ...

The currently used files are only from
http://download.xnview.com/

But I understand your fear about faked files,
that why I'd already tested a few with several freeware hoster
like chip.de or other and they had the same hashes. :D

I'll see, if there is a chance for a better information.

Generally no recommendation to use JPEG (lossy compression),
but it just depends on how important the files are for you.

RLE, LZW are Ok.
Maybe it was saved with ZIP and you resaved it uncompressed.

Ok PDF, I found it.
But theres already a limitation in the exiftool, which not only affected the GUI.
XMP pdf Tags

Creator, Subject and Title are avoided when writing due to name conflicts with XMP-dc tags.
