I think that Windows Storage Sense (new feature in Windows 10) may get in the way when trying to reproduce this issue. Try disabling Storage Sense on Windows 10 or try on older Windows version.

My suggestion is to select the file in the browser search results when switching from a file view that was opened from the search results. And maybe even a hidden setting to never clear the search results when switching between modes even when switching from a file that is not in the search ...

Yes, exactly. Zero-length .tmp file in the %temp% directory.

Tools like Auto-cropping that use the color picker gets a random grey scale color when trying to pick a color from a grey scale image. :bug:

The 'Zoom 100 %' button under the image preview in Batch convert dialog doesn't work. Also the button tool-tip says 'Zoom in' instead of 'Zoom 100 %'.

This is kind of a silly bug, but it's a bug nevertheless.

XnView crashes if you try to create a Contact sheet with 0 columns or rows.

That error means "Access denied". Are you running the installer as Admin?
