I have just tried out XnView 1.70 for x86 Linux and noticed the that JPEG lossless-crop doesn't work, although you can select the corresponding checkbox-item, but apply does nothing. Also what is funny is that you can't deselect the checkbox with the flip/rotations at all, so that may be the cause o...

Installer placed XnView in strange places

I usedto use XnView for Windows, now I'm using 1.7 under some kind of debian GNU/Linux derivative. This version of XnView is most likely as great as the windows version, but I'm a bit confused the installer script put the configuration files in /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults instead of /etc/X11/app-defau...

I guess that this has something to do with the IDCT algorythm of the JPEG-format, which allows to ignore some pixels on the bottom-right easier than at the top-left. I guess top-left pixels are processed first, but does this explain this behaviour??? Don't no. While we are at, just some basics about...

small improvement suggestion in XnView 1.74: The JPEG lossless cropping is only selectable via the drop down menu which comes up right from the JPEG-lossless transforming button in the toolbar, but it is neither selectable via the main menu nor in the JPEG lossless transformation dialog itself. Else...

Improvement suggestion: better/more RAW format support

I have a improvement suggestion for XnView: It would be somewhat more useful and universal if it would support some more RAW image formats, namingly 1bit monochrome, 4bit paletted and 15/16bit high color modes. Besides this, Xnview is a nice programm, really, it is!

Ogg Plugin for XnView

Hi, I'm new here!

I like XnView, but I would appriciate an Ogg (Vorbis/Flac) input (perhaps output) plugin for XnView.

What do you think of it?

Take a look at http://www.xiph.org or at http://www.vorbis.com.
