v1.98: "Fit image to window, small only" is just plain buggy

Large images are only 100% when the image doesn't fit vertically AND horizontally, not "OR". The horizontal scroll bar will NOT appear on a large image when "Lock Zoom" is unchecked. Cannot reset X/Y, period! (meant for large images) Again, I don't know if it makes a difference, but I tested with a ...

v1.98: When Reset X/Y is unchecked, image gets centered

Unless "Lock zoom" is enabled, images will be CENTERED rather than not changing the position at all (particularly with "No Fit"). This is most easily noticed with images that are of the same resolution. Don't know if it makes a difference, but I used a fresh copy of the XnView PortableApps version t...

Re: Auto Image Size: Fit Image to Window/Desktop, small only

I tested beta1 & 2 and this function is borked up the wazoo. It treats small images fine, but vertically-large images are treated as small ones. It seems to be only horizontally-large images that are not scaled - but even then, you cannot scroll horizontally.

This happened in beta1 & 2 as well. You have to make sure you set your fit setting first, and then close the program and set "ResetXY=2"

Re: Option for "Mirrored Reset X/Y" (reset to the right)

Not fixed; it's exactly the same as it was in beta 1 & 2.

I gotta ask, can you not test it yourself or something?

Re: Option for "Mirrored Reset X/Y" (reset to the right)

ckv wrote:"Fit image to window, large only" But, I zoomed in the image and used lock zoom.

I noticed that when I open a new image view it correctly resets to top-right, but when I move to nex /prev file it resets to top-left.
I'm having the exact same issue, though I used "No fit"

Make a PortableApps version, THEN I'll try it.

Re: 3D-Files .jps and .mpo

I'm bumping this because we now know that the Nintendo 3DS will be using MPO as its 3D image format.

Also XnView supports JPS perfectly fine, you just have to manually associate the the extension with the program through your OS.

Re: "Sequence Convert" this image. I dare you.

Odd, I saved it as a BMP via MSpaint and I still couldn't get it to convert.

"Sequence Convert" this image. I dare you.

I'm 99.99% sure this is a bug. Basically, XnView always crashes when trying to sequence convert the image below. (tested on both v1.97.2 and v1.97.8) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_a-oZi8pmvvA/TVDCqX4NoII/AAAAAAAAAgo/iXLD5scLJwY/s800/Sequence%20Convert%20this%20-%20I%20dare%20you.png Go ahead, t...

Legal to implement patented algorithms in XnView?

Supposedly France does not legalize software patents, which is apparently why VLC itself exists. Basically I've discovered an I-swear-it's-freakin-magical upscaling algorithm (S-Spline Max), but sadly it is patented. However, I'm pretty sure they're illegal in France, so does that mean it would be l...

Re: Auto Image Size: Fit Image to Window/Desktop, small only

Yes indeed it is.

The "/Desktop" is because there are options for "Fit to desktop" as well.

Option for "Mirrored Reset X/Y" (reset to the right)

The reset X/Y option is TOTALLY AWESOME... except when the things your viewing/reading go RIGHT TO LEFT! (such as manga, vertical Japanese writing, or other right to left languages like Hebrew) This means that you have to either zoom out to fit the entire image on-screen (which may be too small at t...
