Why
There are some returning problems that currently Pierre is unable to fix, because he cannot reproduce them. They are fe. disappearing cursor, taskbar staying on on fullscreen etc. In fact, they may not even be XnView problems.
Debugging support would be also useful when investigating "normal ...

Self evident-not. Clarify to me usefulness of two file panels in MEDIA BROWSER . Come up with some SCENARIOS related to media browsing/editing when it is useful. Tell it to me (and others) in plain words ...

Dual pane is just a feature that is useful if added to XnView.

And I still wait for some reasonable scenario justyfying it. Not every feature is useful.

Whether or not it's practical to add at this time is a different consideration.

But you should be aware that I mentioned how specific GUI enhancements improve user efficiency and visual ergonomics. It's not just to make a program look polished and modern. It's about visual organization and allowing responsive workflow by the user.

IMO too much efforts currently goes into making more visual impression instead of practical functionality. We get slow interfaces with aesthetics of Barbie. But people seem to buy it and customer, voting with a wallet, is always right :( Good XnView is freeware :)

BTW, I've checked and it seems XnView can display transparency only for palette images and only in windowed view? Guess it should be changed?
