Edit: It seems, that version 1.7.2 needs both "AddOn" and "AddOns" folder.

FaceTag only works if it accessible in folder "AddOns" (in my special case in Windows user folder). ExifTool has to be located in "AddOn" folder

While the face tag plugin was located in older version in {installation.folder}/Addon/FaceTag (Addon without s), the solution was to copy the extracted files from the zip-file above to the settings folder located below the user-folder ...

as described, downloading the AddOn as ZIP and extracting to {install folder}/AddOn/FaceTag does not work.

I tried with your link, but still fails to acivate. Do you have other suggestions?

Face tag plugin can't be reinstalled after update

Effect: No face tagging available

Since one of the last updates, my face tag plugin is disabled and can't be reinstalled successfully.

To reproduce:
1. Menu Tools -> I/O-Plugins
2. Add-On Face ...
