Perhaps the mailing list could be used to notify people of this quiz. I doubt people will be bothered by it?

PS: in what language will you write your thesis?

Register part of the website

Hi Pierre,

On the XnView website you give a pricelist for commercial use. I assume prices are "per license" or are do you really want to sell thousands of licenses for just €3 something :)

Just for the information of all:
The problem was identified as a plugin for the windows explorer shell of a program called "s7raw". It cannot handle a fake .raf file.

Did you receive it? Your question makes me think you couldn't replicate the problem?

Crash on "invalid" file\file extension

Hi,

After some puzzling I discovered why my xnview kept crashing on a certain folder. It seems I accidentally renamed a .jpg to a .raf (fujifilm raw file) at some point. This caused xnview to crash while indexing the directory. It also prompted a data execution prevention by windows xp when I tried ...

higher resolution is only logical on a bigger screen so that the relative decrease of lettersize\icon size is smaller.

optional works for me

You could of course use a higher screen resolution to negate room consumption :D

I know there are key combinations, but each program tends to have different hotkeys and I don't want to learn new keycombinations for each program I use.

I knew about the ctrl+w as it is indicated in the menu, however ...

Yes, I know that. I'm talking about double clicking the file, getting a full (i nmy case) 4MP picture on my screen. The preview is just 1MP. So how do you generate the 4MP picture so quickly?

RAW Conversion, how is it done? (technically)

Hi!

Could someone elaborate on how the actual RAW conversion is done as it seems rather quick. I'm used to S7RAW to convert my .RAF files. I understand that the functionality is difference, but the speed remains quite fast. How does the conversion actually differ from "other programs"? What is it ...

Ah, may I assume you agree with such a functionality then? I searched for it prior to making the request, but couldn't find it. I just installed the program today and it was the first "annoyance" I came across, I'll let you know if I find more. Keep up the good work!

Tab closing at the tab

Is it possible to add the functionality to close a tab by clicking an X at the end of the tab? Just like Firefox has?
