what do you have in Settings>Formats>Read>Raw? Embedded?

It was set to Full-Size, which is default setting i believe. Changing to Embedded fixed EXTREME LAG issue for RAW's.


AFAIK "embedded" is the default. Using Full-size is indeed very slow, but it's the same on 1.4.5

Fixed. Can now turn the option back to its default: enabled and the images load correctly.

The first time I open an image by double clicking the thumbnail in the browser, the viewer opens an image with dimensions that are far smaller than the actual file.

Sorry to report that a side-by side comparison of 2 instances of 1.5.0 beta with "RGB profile used when embedded profile doesn't exist" set to 1) none vs 2) AdobeRGB ICM profile, still shows significant difference when viewing a photo that has no embedded profile, but does have Interoperability ...

When in viewer: menu item "View > Lock zoom" perhaps?
I do not see your behaviour. The lock zoom actually doesn't seem to do anything at all here. I can still zoom in and out and other images opened from the browser view are shown in normal fit-to-window fashion.

Bumping this up. The same is still true in version 1.4.5

Images that do not have an embedded ICC profile, but do have an EXIF DCF Interoperability index -that's most if not all straight-out-of-camera JPEG images- are not colour managed.

e.g. an image has "Interoperability Index: R03 - DCF option ...

fyi: the download links for the Windows versions above do not work (in this context) while they do work when you are at the XnView website download page . That page still shows v1.00 but the downloads are in fact v1.01 ...
