Re: Filter by search results

Exactly, and there lies the problem, it's unofficial. It's been suggested before that you would take over the project: https://forum.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=43882&p=180372

Re: Filter by search results

It would seem to, yeah.

Although I've been using XnViewMP less due to the relative slowness plus how even with the flatpak version videos now crash the program. Flatpak was "supposed" to be a distribution format that eliminates library version incompatibilities, but I guess without an officially ...

Re: keyboard shortcuts for scrolling

How about as, by default, unassigned shortcuts?

I do have some muscle memory from browsers and from one other image viewer I used to use for page up and page down for scrolling quickly. Meanwhile, the arrow keys work for me to switch between files, but also I've got a grouping of keys assigned for ...

Re: Video Playback suggestions...

For me spacebar moves to the next file instead of that pausing behavior that Sirio says it has.

Videos seem to loop forever by default. However, the looping isn't smooth, for a little bit of time there's a black screen shown. The request for the looping behavior was predominantly for "the GIF ...

Re: Filter by search results

I use "All", "All", "All" filters. I've hardly touched them at all. What I'm talking about is making (quick) search act like a filter, so its effect would continue to the view mode. So, if I put "flower" into the quick search bar, I'd only be browsing through files that have "flower" in their file ...

Re: 0.99.7 Crash with videos' info panels

I'm saying that the crash happens whether or not the preview is active. It's just that it requires going to look at two videos instead of one until it crashes if preview is ticked on for the info panel.

Re: 0.99.7 Crash with videos' info panels

Some extra info. The way it crashes is freezing for like two seconds and only then crashing.

I would have ran it through gdb or something, but XnView seems to open through a script, and the binary /opt/xnviewmp/XnView complains about missing libraries.

I noticed that there's something akin to my ...

Filter by search results

Search results don't continue applying as filters in the way that when you go to displaying an image and try to browse through the images with arrow keys and the like, you'd be shown only images from your search results. Should they, though? I hardly can imagine a use for the displaying images mode ...

0.99.7 Linux: Crash with videos' info panels

XnView: MP 0.99.7- 64 bit
OS: Arch Linux 64bit

With all the options except "Preview as tab" selected for the Info panels, I get this crash when looking at a video file in the browsing mode:

Re: animated webp

I would request this also. APNG isn't supported by GIMP yet but animated WebP is, so there's that also as a motivation for me personally. And GIF is absolutely horrible as a format so it really NEEDS a good alternative. Having better support for the alternatives in image viewers such as XnView maybe ...
