Change Timestamp doesn't set EXIF: Date taken, even if "create" & "force" are checked
I have some jpgs where, if I use Tools->change timestamp, select "create EXIF metadata if needed," also select "force the update in case of anomaly", and select "EXIF: Date taken", it doesn't apply the date. It also doesn't report any error - it just does nothing (i.e. silently fails). I'm setting t...

Re: Continues Scrolling Photos Well After Releasing Keyboard Key (Linux Only)
So strange - I'm still not getting notified of responses to my email, even though I've definitely subscribed on the forum. Just happened to come & check manually for updates.

Re: Continues Scrolling Photos Well After Releasing Keyboard Key (Linux Only)
I'm not sure what you mean. There are 2 ways to view images: * Browser mode: If I set it to View As=Details, so there's a file list, & reveal the Preview pane, then I can hold the up/down keys so it scrolls through the file list, and the instant I let go of the up/down keys, it stops at the image I'...

Re: Linux: Full-screen scrolling after key release
Could be. In any event, the author has been ignoring this since it was first reported over 3 years ago, here: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=40701&p=182087

Just checking in as another year has elapsed (2 in total). Any chance of taking a stab at this?

Re: Linux: Cut from browser actually Copies
When I view the clipboard contents? Nope, in both cases, I only see the text/plain - here's a screenshot (when cutting from Dolphin): https://jiij.cc/snaps/2023-10-12_07.50.52.png When cutting from XnView, it's the same, just without the leading "file://" I'm using CopyQ to view the clipboard, not s...

Re: Linux: Cut from browser actually Copies
Aha, maybe that's it!
When I cut in Dolphin, it's format and content is the file path, i.e.
But when I cut in XnView MP, it's missing the file:// at the front:
When I cut in Dolphin, it's format
Code: Select all
text/plain
Code: Select all

Code: Select all

Re: Linux: Cut from browser actually Copies
Unfortunately, the issue still seems to persist - cut and paste still performs copy paste, in v1.6.0.

Re: Linux: Cut from browser actually Copies
So to clarify, the issue is: 1) Within XnView MP (browser), I select a file and "Cut" 2) Within Dolphin, "Paste" 3) The file successfully appears at the destination 4) However, the file does not disappear at the source While I'm obviously not familiar with the intricacies of how this is implemented ...

Re: Linux: Cut from browser actually Copies
What? Just look at the thread - the first post is from me, on 4/3/2021, with the exact content I just pasted above. "drag&drop copy instead of move" is not the original topic; someone else added that as a 2nd message on 4/6/2021, 3 days later. The subject is even "Cut from browser actually Copies", ...
