As is is a very long process, can a progress bar be implemented?

Re: Searching files by date
Sorry, are you asking about my OS?
I use Mac, I can run Windows in a virtual machine, but I would prefer to minimize that...
I see that the Windows version has that functionality. Is there any particular difficulty implementing that in the Mac version?

How to add assets to catalog
I see that I can directly add a folder using "Import folder..." button in the Preferences window. Also, a folder is added when I navigate to it and wait until it is scanned. I am wondering: 1. Searching files by date
I need to scan the entire photo library, extract the original date from EXIF and find photographs by a specific date. Is XnView MP capable of doing that?

Re: Application is unresponsive when browsing network share
Well, thats great, though I have a few points here: 1. I tried it with a wire connection, but I did not notice any significant difference in performance, the lags remain huge and UI is glitchy. 2. Like I said earlier, other file browsing applications (including ones that show thumbnails) work reason...

Re: The application is unresponsive when browsing a network share
Any updates here? Maybe it is possible to enable some logging/tracing to find out what the application is doing?

Re: The application is unresponsive when browsing a network share
Pierre, what exactly setting are you referring to? I mentioned one in the initial post. If you meant another one, could you please post the exact name and location in settings?
