Here is a transparent png image we found that when you enable the option --> Use checkerboard pattern as background ... the checkerboard doesn't work, it doesn't show.

Edit: even converting it with ffmpeg, or ImageMagick, or other tools, or opening with Photoshop and saving as png.. or resizing ...

There are many cases where the checkerboard background makes it impossible to view the image. (I can list multiple reasons and examples) And then there are many cases where the checkerboard background helps with viewing images with transparency more clearly. So if there was a way to quickly toggle ...

1. downloaded https://download.xnview.com/XnView-win-full.exe (latest version --> FULL not minimal)
2. made sure that WebP plugin was enabled (I disabled most options since I have no use for them), installed and now it works for WebP files!

Still wont work for SVG however!

.webp and . svg files wont open with XnView and thus I'm forced to use other software...

Supposedly the .webp and .svg formats are supported by XnView, but not by default?

Opening any image/gif or video with XnView does not work, if these files are located inside any folder renamed for example "τεστ" (greek language) instead of using english, the files never open and instead you get the following error.
