Enter rating deletes categories 0.93/OSX

Hi, I have a RAW file (.ORF), plus a matching XMP file with categories, rating and color labels. If a new rating or color label is set (right mouse button / menu), then the categories are deleted from the XMP file when saving (de-select). This will clear the attributes xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/e...

Re: Companion files don't copy?

Hi, I'll try to explain that more exactly. I have for example 3 Files: "P001234.ORF", "P001234.ORF.DOP" and "P001234.XMP". {raw} {ext}.xmp;xmp {raw} {ext}.dop;dop When i copy (or move) the primary file "P001234.ORF" with Drag&Drop or with the context menu with "Copy", then everything works fine. The...

Companion files don't copy?

Hi, Companion files are copy with "Copy" (or Drag&Drop), but not with "Copy to..."? Is it wanted like that or is this an bug? BTW, is there an Placeholder, similar to {raw}, {ext}, but only for Filename? I want to copy a companion file eg "P001234_dxo.jpg", the RAW is "P001234.orf".. Thanks! (XnView...

Re: Reduce to the max

Oh no, just this "Win-311 look" is very nice and effective.
Minimal window elements and maximum information, no overloaded design.
Everything is completely configurable.
Please leave it that way!

Re: 0.88: Renaming with variables generates spaces

ok, you're right, it's not a mistake.
Unfortunately, this is different for several tested cameras.
Other image viewers just cut the spaces, but I do not know what's right.
No matter, with "replace" can solve the problem.

0.88: Renaming with variables generates spaces

XnView MP: 0.88 - 32 bit
OS: Windows 8.1 / macOS Sierra / 64bit

Hi,
during (batch) renaming, spaces are created by certain variables.
Rename-Spaces-.jpg
This can be avoided if you replace a space with nothing.
Rename-Replace-Spaces-.jpg
Or is it wanted like that?

Thumbnail appearance

Hi,

There is a small difference in the thumbnail.
In XnViewMP, the lower overlay icons are outside of the image, in XnView inside (see screenshot).
The XnView display saves so much space, is that also possible in XnViewMP?

Re: Category export from the database

Hi, new file? you associate categories on a file with catalog, and you want to associate another file with same categories? yes, the new file is based on the original image (both JPG). Example: 50 original pictures, >6GByte, that's too much! With the batch convert I want to make smaller pictures out...

Re: Category export from the database

Hi,

XMP data or sidecar - that does not matter (optionally both).
The main thing is that the categories are transferred to the new file.

Thanks!

Re: Category export from the database

You need to disable 'Export DB Category' Ok, but I had already tried that, it makes no difference. You would like to change XMP categories with batch convert? No, at this point I do not want to change the categories. I have already assigned the categories before, but only in the database . The cate...
