1.7.0: Lost ability to left-click-zoom in Preview pane (Solved)

I don't know if this is a bug or an intentional change, but I cannot find any setting to change it back. I installed v1.7.0 over the top of 1.6.5. Left-clicking in the Preview window no longer zooms a fitted image on v1.7.0 the way it did on previous versions (including 1.6.5 still installed on anot...

Re: I figured out how to produce multiple Browser Tabs!!!

Adding an example of when I would find this feature extrememly useful: I am working on a big 3D model in Blender, with multiple image maps related to it: Albedo textures, AO maps, normal maps, metalic maps etc.. Each of those is created and stored in its own folder: A folder for AOs, another for nor...

1.4.3 missing msvcp140D.dll

I get an error when starting 1.4.3 - Missing msvcp140D.dll. But then the program starts after I click OK n the error.

Isn't that the DEBUG version of the library?

I have msvcp140.dll (non debug).

Guess the build got left in debug mode by mistake

Re: I figured out how to produce multiple Browser Tabs!!!

Thank you doko. A great bug indeed! I came here today searching for a way to do just this. I often need to work with quick views of multiple sets of images / thumbnail folder locations, and usually open two or more instances of MP to do that. I'm always a bit concerned about multiple, concurrent dat...

Re: PSD files don't always display in Preview?

Ahh... I did not know about that. Took me a minute to find where (page next/previous). So it's working as expected and I'm just a bit slow on the uptake :? lol! That does make perfect sense, compared to having to process all the layers and states and work out what Photoshop would show (practically i...

Re: PSD files don't always display in Preview?

Photoshop 2020, version 21.0.3*, but I have PSD files saved with many previous versions. Maximize compatibility is disabled, but I will enable it and try testing again later today. On the two test files (one that does not show in preview, one that does) Use Alpha Channel is greyed out and cannot be ...

PSD files don't always display in Preview?

I've never noticed this before and I don't know if it's always been this way or if it is a new change. I have the latest 1.02 XNViewMP installed. Some of my PSD files show correct thumbnails, but do not display in the preview pane . I just get a white rectangle of the appropriate size. Other PSD fil...

Re: 0.98.1: High CPU use and missing thumbnails

Sorry for the slow reply. They are a mixture of .jpg, .png and .tga. I did wonder afterwards if it is related to my Synology NAS... it has some odd behaviour* at times with Windows shares but I'm so used to it, I tend to forget. The image directories and the database are on the NAS. The issue is def...

Re: 0.98.1: High CPU use and missing thumbnails

Further information: Moving to the bottom of the thumbnail pane by pressing the End key before the progress bar finishes stalls XNViewMP as above. Pressing the Home key to move back to the top resumes the progress. This can be repeated, stalling and restarting things, until the loading of thumbnails...

0.98.1: High CPU use and missing thumbnails

XnView: MP 0.98.1 - 64 bit OS: Windows 7 64bit I have noticed this, on occasion, for a while, but took more notice today when I noticed my CPU fans running more loudly. At the time XNViewMP was minimised and I was working on another window. After writing the below notes, I did some more testing and ...

Re: Proportional panning in full screen view

The competitor's product uses a proportional method. No matter where one clicks to zoom and start panning, the whole picture can be panned with a screen's worth of mouse movement (in the picture's larger dimension compared to the screen, less movement is needed in the smaller dimension). It seems th...

Re: Proportional panning in full screen view

Good idea to have both available, but using mouse speed would still give the possibility of reaching the screen edge before the picture edge, if the mouse wasn't moved quickly enough. Then you have to go back, try again... I don't think it would work nicely. A simpler way to achieve having both 1:1 ...
