Re: 1.7.0_IPTC Save Template = No File Extension

I just now checked and the problem has carried over to the new version 1.7.0
Saved IPTC Templates have no file extension and therefore do not display in the Load Template list.

Re: Suggestions for Edit Comment Dialogue Box
THANK YOU ! The new improvements to the Edit Comment dialogue are NICE and much appreciated. I expanded the boundaries of the Embedded Comment text box both upward and downward, making it much better for both editing and viewing Embedded Comments. The fact that it remembers my changes to the dialogu...

1.7.0_IPTC Save Template = No File Extension
Version 1.6.5 In IPTC Editor, when I create an IPTC Template and click Save Template, the template gets saved but NOT with the .iptc extension; in fact, whatever type file it is has no extension at all; it is there with all the other template files, but without the .iptc extension. Thus, when I go t...

Suggestions for Edit Comment Dialogue Box
Here are a couple suggestions for the Edit Comment Dialogue Box Swap positions/places of the descript.ion text box and the Embedded Comment text box, thus making the Embedded Comment text box easier to see/read. Make it possible to downsize the descript.ion text box while enlarging the Embedded Comm...

Re: IPTC Editor = Insert
{XP:Comment} is shown, but when you write your IPTC, you'll have the correct value Thanks; that works. Now, all the other values I have tested work as you described, except for Insert > EXIF-Image > User comment When I choose "User comment", I get nothing. I was hoping that would be Embedded Commen...

Re: IPTC Editor = Insert
Please use latest version I have installed the latest version and my results are the same. No matter what I choose from the "Insert" menu, I only ever get my choice in brackets without getting the actual text. For example, I choose XP:Comment and I get {XP:Comment}, not the text of the actual XP Co...

Re: number extension for same date files
You can use {Creation Date[Y/m/d]}-[##] With start =1 and step =1 You will get 21/06/2024-[01] 21/06/2024-[02] 21/06/2024-[03] 21/06/2024-[04] Just a bit confused --- Would not using [Y/m/d] yield 2024/06/21 instead of 21/06/2024 ? Also, I don't think Windows will allow me to use the slashes \ | / ...

IPTC Editor = Insert
Currently using version 1.5.0 In the IPTC Editor, when I click the right-facing triangle at the extreme right end of each field, I get three menus, "Insert", "Insert From" and "Copy Into". Insert From and Copy Into have always worked fine. However, when I attempt to use the "Insert" menu, no matter ...

Re: May be a Bug - Hard to Explain
I created 5 buttons for towns where I often take photos, to fill in location metadata in one click ... The "Edit iptc" window does not appear, it saves time Thanks; I will definitely be checking this out. I did for a while try adding Keyword Tags via IPTC templates and then I figured out that IPTC ...

Re: May be a Bug - Hard to Explain
How can we reproduce ? In Options, the first two options are checked and the third is not. If Merge Data is checked in the Load Template dialogue, it happens every time for me. V1.5.0 windows (first, select 2 images, open Edit iptc, and make sure that Options > "Don'l load field values" is ticked ....

Re: May be a Bug - Hard to Explain
Previous versions When a single photo is selected, it seems that using "Load template" makes "Keep Original Value if New Value is Empty" ineffective. Not only keywords are deleted, but also the other fields that are empty in the template. XnViewMP 1.5.0 When you choose your template to load, you mu...
