ZIP archives as image collection

As a photographer I'm looking for some way to have single file, yet a few photos inside, e.g. focus stack or original raws and processed photos. I don't want to be bound by particular format of file and I can't recode them. I've got an idea how ideal way would look. ZIP (or any other) archives which...

Preview of filter doesn't obey selection [performance]

Preview for filter shows preview for the whole image, even if there's selection. After clicking OK it applies only to selection, so the problem is only with preview. It might seem minor, but I just wanted to use a filter (gaussian blur) on small part of big image. I had to wait about 5 seconds for p...

Re: Remote control (WAPI msg) XnViewMP

Can you close it? I forgot it's XnViewMP, so Windows-only stuff is pointless.

Re: 0.86 64 bits: Can’t open files with long full path

Not a bug, as long as user didn't opt-in to new path length limits (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar ... 85%29.aspx). In other case such files shouldn't exist and they are simply erroneous.

Remote control (WAPI msg) XnViewMP

Hello! I know I'm not typical user. I always try to automatize things, script them. How one would interact with tool by sending messages? Let me show it on the example of MPC-HC and my non-brand RC (from some tv card; you can get a virtual keyboard on the smartphone and use wifi, but it won't be goo...

Re: Doesn't delete in 'view' mode

I renamed the file and it works. Also when I changed the line from "cmd_deleteFile ," (JMM72 hack; I've got pl locale, so I had to use comma instead dot) to "cmd_deleteFile" it works as well. Sadly I don't know what has been there before applying JMM72 hack :/

Re: Only one file in instance

Not yet, but that sounds exactly like the thing I need. Thanks a lot! BTW wouldn't it be better to save session not on XnViewMP close, but on file open? This way I'd have (using my example): 1) A 2) AB 3) ABC 4) ABCD Which is the same as opened files. Saving on close causes it to be A>B>AC>AD. PS: T...

Only one file in instance

Hello, Is there a way to allow one instance of XnViewMP to open only one file. I had tabs hidden and recently XN started to act very slowly. When I opened tabs, I've noticed more than 100 files in tabs. Also the behavior is weird for me (from user point of view, not "how code works"): 1) I open inst...

Re: Doesn't delete in 'view' mode

Supposedly fixed, but in 0.81 in Win7 64 it's still not working. I can use it by File menu, but all three modes of shortcut fails: 1) When I set shortcut to "none", File>Delete still have "Del" as shortcut 2) I can't click on "default" 3) "own" as del don't work Thanks, JMM72. Your out-of-the-box wa...

Re: Crash while browsing unrecognized format image

Win 7 64 bit, XNViewMP 0.79 x64. Here it silently crashes. No error message. I see that window opens for about 100 ms and it instantly closes, terminating process. "Random" colors in the case above doesn't look good from the point of programmer view. I just hope it's not anything about memory violat...

MRW thumbnail wrong size

Hello, My raw format setting right now is thumbnail. When I open MRW file directly from Explorer , I see 640x480 picture with data in status bar 3280x2454 (original file size). When I select it all I see 640x480 selection. Info window lacks some info, including some Exif and DPI (print size). When I...

Re: GPS Degrees Do Not Show When Printing

It's the font issue. Change your font to one that supports that symbol. You can use BabelMap. Download link: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/babelmap.html. Their website seems to be down, so choose "Download@MajorGeeks". It's a free, fast, "onefiled" portable and open source app. Run it, ent...

Separate settings for raw camera files

Hello! XnViewMP is great for fast browsing raw files... if you have one camera. The problem is with type of reading. There's: * full (slow) * half (faster, 50% quality) * thumbnail (very fast, ??? quality) That setting applies to all raws. I don't know, maybe it's only my case, but I have two camera...
