Re: Status bar filename: too few characters

xnview wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 3:16 pm you can change maxCharsFilename in xnview.ini
Umm.. I didn't find such entry in the config file (v1.6.4).
I tried adding maxCharsFilename=100 under [Browser], but nothing changed.

Crop size list: custom labels

Could you please allow custom labels in the Crop size list? I'd like to specify if the sizes are horizontal or vertical for a quick selection. Also, swap the ratio info: 1.78 (16:9) --> 16:9 (1.78) Example: horiz - 16:9 (1.78) horiz - 1280x720 horiz - 1920x1080 horiz - 2560x1440 vert - 9:16 (0.56) v...

v1.6.4 - Crop size issues

XnView: MP v1.6.4 x64 OS: Windows7 x64 Preview mode - Crop size The are some issues with this feature (existing since many versions). - ratio sizes are swapped (e.g: 16:9 creates a 9:16 selection) - pixel sizes don't show in the button when selected (they reset to Free) Effect: you need to always do...

Thumbnails + details view customization

Browser mode - "Thumbnails + details" view

Why there's a second column with the long file type.. can it be removed?
Also, is the file info shown here customizable like in "Thumbnails + Labels"? (the single-column view could be useful for long filenames)

Status bar filename: too few characters

Could you please extend the filename's maximum characters in the status bar? It's always limited to like 40 even if there's plenty of space on modern displays. It would be useful when scrolling pics in browsing mode with thumbnails. (I know there are other modes and views, but they're different usag...

No, even if I skipped some versions.
Sadly I don't recall the exact one I had before.
Btw I still use Win7, so someone else should confirm or not if they have this issue also on Win10+

Ok, posted, with the difference from explorer.
It's like it's grouping some characters together, thus showing more spaces in the word.

XnViewMP 1.6.1 - Font issue

In the latest version there is some issue with the font, because it shows spaces where it doesn't exist. It's consistent, but I don't understand the reason.. it seems caused by some combinations? For example: base ba se evergarden everg ard en forgotten forg otten giovanna giova nna halloween hallow...

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.

If I convert the JPG to PNG, the colors end up the same, instead. There must be something different in the first PNG, despite Firefox displaying them identical. EDIT: I see that original has Adobe RGB , whilst the converted one has sRGB ! Maybe that's the reason, even if I dunno why I'm the only one...

Re: Color Profiles (ICC) and color spaces.

I'm confused.. I tried creating BMP screenshots from XnviewMP of JPG+PNG files with & without ICC and they're all different :\
The 2 ICC colors are more similar between them, but in theory the default JPG color should the right one :?

Err.. nvm, I tried various things, like deleting the catalog and reinstalling the program and now the GIFs seem to work again.
Weird bug.
Thanks. Solved, I guess..

On my Win11 GIF animation files are OK.
Thanks for replying, guys.
I have an old Win7 (yeah..), but it should be supported.
GIFs worked before in XnViewMP and still do in Firefox.
