Re: Companion / XMP files
I suggest having settings for Companion files under a dedicated options page at Settings > Browser > Companion files. Though this could potentially be a tab nested under File list as it regards file types. This settings page could also be a tab under Metadata but that may not be as obvious or likely...

Re: Companion / XMP files
As discussed earlier in the thread, the only reason I am forced to still use XnView Classic instead of XnView MP is the lack of companion/sidecar file support, so it would be really helpful if this is implemented ASAP (at least in XnView.ini at first, and ideally exposed in Options after that), as i...

Re: Companion / XMP files
When it comes to deleting companion files, I would suggest providing the following radio button options, with defaults as shown: Delete Companion files (eg. .XMP) when deleting Master file (eg .JPG): (•) "Yes (or Shift+Delete to Prompt)" ( ) "No (or Shift+Delete to Prompt" ( ) "Prompt (Shift+Delete ...

Next/Previous Issues with Preview Pane
Next/Previous when the preview pane (not full-screen) is focused doesn't work as expected like with full-screen preview, as it doesn’t skip Video files like Next/Previous when full-screen preview is focused, even when have all of the following options: Options > Browser > File List > File List > Vid...

Re: XnView Maximized Bug and Continually Crashes on Startup
This issue still exists, where every other time I startup XnView it moves the the maximized XnView window from the secondary to the primary screen (though doesn't seem to crash due to that anymore, just for other reasons now). I have however identified more specific steps and required configuration ...

Sidecar/Companion Files and Move/Copy/Rename Dialog Issues
These are long-standing issues with Sidecar files relating to defining file extension associations, Move/Copy To, and renaming, as well as more general issues with Move/Copy To dialog (eg. with full-screen preview use). These issues have been reproduced with the latest version of XnView Classic (v2....

Re: Alt-M Shortcut Broken in v2.34
I found Ctrl+Alt+M did work as an alternative. It seems there was a conflict with Skype hotkey mapping.

Re: XnViewMP: "For Copy/Move/Delete use companion file"
Is sidecar support for Move/Copy To something that is likely to be added to XnView MP anytime soon? Its the only remaining missing feature from XnView MP that is keeping me from moving to it from XnView Classic. +1 for adding this feature to XnView MP, to allow use of "Move/Copy To" to move the vide...

Re: "Must fixes" for next release
Very often XnView gets into a corrupted state whereafter it will crash every single time on startup unless the startup window size and position lines are removed from XnView.ini, as reported in XnView Maximized Bug and Continually Crashes on Startup . It seems like this might be related in some way ...

XnView Maximized Bug and Continually Crashes on Startup
XnView launches on the wrong screen after the 3rd time the app is launched after maximizing. This occurs with the following screen configuration: This occurs when maximizing XnView on Screen 1 (Laptop's LCD, shown as Screen 1 in ) when under Windows Display settings (for Windows 10 x64) Screen 2 is ...

Alt-M Shortcut Broken in v2.34
Alt-M shortcut for Move to folder... is broken for XnView classic 2.34. It worked previously. Tested both immediately after selecting thumbnail in browser and when fullscreen preview was last selected/active window. Alt-C and other shortcuts work OK, and Move to folder... context menu option works O...

Move/Copy Companion File Issues
Issue #1: Move/Copy To fails to move companion files when performed from an image preview tab (eg. a tab opened by double clicking an image in the Browser), though it works fine when performed from directly from Browser as well as Second Monitor Fullscreen Preview: Issue #2 (Related to #1): Move/Cop...

Re: XnViewMP: "For Copy/Move/Delete use companion file"
+1 for adding this feature to XnView MP, to allow use of "Move/Copy To" to move the video preview thumbnails (such as generated using Auto Movie Thumbnailer (AMT)) or cover image, such as Movie 1.mp4.jpg and have the corresponding video file automatically moved together with the preview (by defining...
