currently there is no way, XnView use always primary scale factor
Yes okay, but I mean, can't we fix that? I understand how it is currently, but surely the sourcecode is not set in stone... We can change something to get a bug fixed, right? :)

the primary monitor is the 4k, right? XnView use the primary scaled factor
Yes, correct. So that's the problem explained.

Now as for a solution... :)

Zoom 100% is incorrect on secondary display

I've got two displays: 1) Laptop internal screen, a 15" 4K scaled to 250% 2) External 28" 2.5K ultrawide, scaled to 100% When XN starts on the internal monitor by doubleclicking an image, the image is scaled pixel-to-pixel with the screen. That means a screenshot of a "normal" monitors appears to be...

Re: Dark Theme

Any reason why MP has one and non-MP doesn't?
I thought the two are basically exactly the same application.

Dark Theme

Does XnView have a dark theme, and how/where do I enable it?

Alternatively, can it be made so that XnView responds to the Dark Theme setting in Win10?

Re: Crash when entering folder with a movie

I don't have Quicktime installed, but I do Quicktime Alternative... I'll see if uninstalling that helps. I'm not really using it anyway.

Re: Crash when entering folder with a movie

Okay, so that tells me it's using installed codecs, rather than built-in ones. That's what makes it unreliable by definition, because there's no way of knowing what a user might have installed. I'm using The matroska splitter from Haali, and for decoding I use ffdshow. I guess I'll update ffdshow an...

Re: Crash when entering folder with a movie

I wish I could, but these are copyrighted movies. But I think it's safe to say this problem occurs for *any* MKV file, as far as I've been able to test. If you can download any 1080p movie in MKV from the internet you should be able to reproduce the problem - because it happens for all of them. If n...

Ding-sound when pressing enter on folder location

When typing a folder location in the address bar in the file browser pane (forgive me, I'm not sure that's the right jargon) I get a "ding" sound. It's the same sound you get when pressing a wrong key, or something. You know the one. No biggie. Just something interestingly strange. I'm not sure that...

Crash when entering folder with a movie

XnView crashes when entring a folder that happens to contain a MKV file. I can't say anything about the crash, because it's one of those "...has stopped working" crashes. I have no way of getting any information out of that, that might be useful. This crash is 100% reproducible. All that appears to ...

Re: Incremental display

It works for PNG, JPEG, BMP and "simple" TIFF. Those are the most widely-used formats iyam. /edit It will work for ANY kind of those files. Interlaced/progressive has nothing to do with incremental display (which is a misconception I have oftenly seen happening). To be perfectly clear: just like a w...

Re: Incremental display

No you are right, I think the author and I must have misunderstood the meaning of "incremental display". I was talking about displaying a picture the way a browser does. And let me tell you it feels faster when an image viewer has implemented this. It feels a LOT faster, even on a fast medium showin...

Re: Show drives in file list

Exactly :) And to be in the clear: by "extra fiddling" I meant that I navigate through the application pretty much entirely by keyboard. And having to tab around frantically to get to the directory tree is too much. Also it takes more fiddling to select the right drive, because the directory tree al...

Re: Show drives in file list

helmut wrote:Local drives are listed in the folder tree. Is there a reason why you don't use the folder tree for switching inbetween drives?
1) It needlessly uses screen real estate.
2) It takes extra fiddling to go to the file tree, as opposed to having them in the file list, where the focus usually already is.

Re: 0.53b win64 - Default theme is not the default

Well, I *was* using whichever theme was enabled upon a fresh, clean, blank setup. Never had this program before on my computer. So whichever theme is selected on a virgin installation, that's the one I was using. Then, I selected a couple of other to see what they are. Turns out I don't fancy any of...
