Re: Where is the Paint Addon?

In XnView MP it is Image > Draw... (Ctrl + W) and also an icon on the toolbar.

Please post XnView MP questions in the XnView MP section of the forum...

Re: Cannot convert PNG files

So what should I do from now on? If the issue is simply that the file extension is incorrect, you could edit the extension to change it to .png, either directly in Windows, or if there you have many similar files, if necessary using one of the freeware renaming utilites. You could also first try se...

Re: How to open pictures in windowed-mode?

To open file formats associated with XnView MP from [Windows] Explorer, or to open files from the browser?

Possibly this setting:

Clipboard01.png

I can't immediately test as I don't have any file formats associated with 'MP.

See also the previous post above.

Re: Cannot convert PNG files

I am quite sure, just look at the extension in the Input image. Once, I even use the As original option in the Output screen, it also return png files. How else do I identify it? Could you upload an example JPEG, it is not unknown for files to have an incorrect extension but still open normally in ...

Re: Cutting up a large image to multiple images

Not sure whether this is possible in Xnconvert, so would appreciate any guidance. Regularly create large master image files 40000W x 2000H in photoshop and then need to output them as multiple images by cropping to create a sequence of 2000W x 2000H images - ending up with a sequence of 20 frames 2...

Re: convert multiple tiff pages to png with respective pagenames

You can avoid having the output PNGs from each TIFF overwritten by including the source filename option ' % ' in your code, for example: -o %###.png If you are unable to create a number sequence you can work with directly, you would then need to renumber the output PNGs created using a second line o...

Re: PCX to JPG Issue with background

The PCX format exists in many forms as shown on the Wikipedia page, so possibly the form used in your files is either not supported or there is a bug?

You could possibly send an example file to Pierre in confidence at the contact email address on the home page.

Re: PCX to JPG Issue with background

Are you able to upload a sample file?

Current forum attachment limit is 2 MiB and you will need to put the file in a ZIP or similar archive, otherwise to a file hosting service and post the download link.

Re: Older (or newer) version of nconvert for Linux?

Is it possible that there is a newer Linux version with this fixed, or alternatively a link to an EARLIER version before this change occurred? The Archive section on the webpage for nconvert downloads offers only versions for older operating systems, not older versions of nconvert for, in this inst...
