Watermark option

In XnView MP the watermark function is located in Image > Draw... although watermarking is not really a 'draw' operation.

Wouldn't it be better as in XnView Classic as Image > Add watermark... ?

Re: Adding a watermark then saving downsizes the image

It downsized in file size (from 1.95 Mb to 386 Kb) but the pixel count appears to stay the same. I added the watermark in the Editor using Image>Draw>Add watermark In XnView MP the compression used when saving is set in File > Format settings... -- Write tab Not obvious, due to a limitation in the ...

Re: Adding a watermark then saving downsizes the image

When I add a .png watermark to an image and then save it, the resulting file is automatically downsized for some reason. I must have missed something but I can't figure out what. Any suggestions? Downsized in pixel dimensions, or file size? Using Batch convert? I don't see a watermark option on the...

Re: NConvert Fortus MAG file to PDF - Bad Font Object

I have tried multiple parameters with nconvert and eve n tried XnConvert. The files convert to PDF and are readable in Acrobat Reader but when I try to edit the PDF in Acrobat Pro DC I get an error: Bad font or font descriptor. These MAG files are just multi-page embedded scanned images. There is n...

Re: How to open Batch convert window with preset already loaded?

I suppose it depends on your workflow, the value of batch conversion is in processing a batch of already selected images that need similar processing... If the 'Load last script used at startup' option above would be useful for you, I suggest that you, in view of the length of this thread, post a se...

Re: How to open Batch convert window with preset already loaded?

Yes, I have, but actually it should be superfluous using it if one uses XnView: https://www.xnview.com/en/xnconvert/ It uses the batch processing module of XnViewMP Odd. XnConvert is a smaller, standalone software with a simpler interface than XnView MP that is ideal for batch conversion... :D As a...

Re: How to open Batch convert window with preset already loaded?

tab there is an option to 'Load last script used at startup'. Sorry, I cannot find such there, where exactly is it? Selecting 'Load last script used at startup' may be sufficient for your needs if it works, the facility to save a script enables alternative saved scripts to be loaded again and used....

Re: How to open Batch convert window with preset already loaded?

Yes, I guess, you meant like this: https://i.imgur.com/SjhdPWu.png But how can one open that window with that profile already loaded? On the Input tab you can save the settings used by clicking on the folder icon to the right above, and on the Settings tab there is an option to 'Load last script us...

Re: HEIC on MacOS

I starts to convert HEIC to JPG on my Mac and saw that image changed, like after filter. If I do the same in another app everything is good, but I want to use XNConvert because I need to resize it too. What XNConvert do with images? Is it possible to turn off this? On the XnConvert Output tab there...

Re: Error reason?

I just converted a folder of 81 jpgs and pngs to webp, and XnConvert said it had 6 errors in the process. Indeed, only 75 files were converted to webp. I can see which files failed, but I'm not sure why they failed. Is there more detail somewhere? If the Output tab didn't provide any information, I...

Re: Can't open filenames with certain characters in folder name

'D:\?\' is not a file, there is no extension, and if there were an extension '?' would select all files with that extension that have a single-character filename on the D:\ drive, wouldn't it? Or am I missing something?? Otherwise, XnView Classic does not support Unicode characters, use XnView MP fo...

Re: Guetzli JPEG Encoder does not work

Today I want to test the Guetzli jpeg encoder, but it did not work. In the past it worked very well. I loaded a jpeg file (4000x3000 pixel), resized the picture to 2048 (longest side) and use the save as dialog to save it. I do not get a file. I believe past experience is that the Guetzli encoder c...

Do you mean the file browser layout, or something else, could you post a screenshot of what you wish to save?
