NConvert bug -multi option

A regression seems to have been introduced for the -multi option somewhere between NConvert 6.51 and 7.25. The following code works as expected with the attached test PNGs: nconvert_6.51 -out pdf -multi -c 5 -q 80 -o M.pdf *.png But the following code produces a malformed multipage file using the sa...

Re: Re-ordering Batch Convert Actions

Hopefully this video will help to illustrate what I'm talking about : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Eu__eKMvRfPA2zDaIyiwHH29ergqdk2A I found the video too fast to follow with the dark theme, but I understand now after looking more closely at the XnConvert Actions tab: any part of an action can ...

Re: Color Separatoin | High Contrast B&W

Thanks for you comments. First is this what you mean by "MP implementation" ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenMP? I see a tag in the footer with those initials: same concept or another? Sorry, I was using 'MP to refer to XnView MP. The point I was making is that the XnView MP implementation of le...

Re: Default File List sorting has changed with update

I recently updated XnView Classic to version 2.48. Previously, the Browser would sort files based on whatever I'd previously used for sorting. So, if I opened the Browser, and chose View >> Sort By >> Name (Numeric), then closed XnView, the next time I opened it the sorting would be Name (Numeric)....

Re: Adjust Contrast of Multi-page PDF

XnConvert does a decent job adjusting the contrast in the pdf when I set it to Automatic Levels, and it will work on the entire multi-page pdf quite well, but any bookmark structure is erased. I guess it doesn't know how to preserve the bookmarks structure; maybe that doesn't count as metadata. I t...

Re: Color Separatoin | High Contrast B&W

I am a bit confused how you moved from my dark image to your nicely bright one. Did you use Levels exclusively? Image>Adjust>Levels? I see Five options on that page. Which one do I use and which way do I move them to get to the corrected image? Levels is a powerful tool that often can achieve direc...

Re: Adjust Contrast of Multi-page PDF

I have a collection of multi-page pdf files with lots of page thumbnails and bookmarks in them, but when they were scanned, they were scanned so that black isn't black - just sort of darkish gray, so it looks washed out. Can I use XnView to adjust the contrast? XnView MP batch convert (or XnConvert...

sorry but there is no way to see original quality used

In XnView MP, in the browser, the Info pane Properties tab shows the JPEG compression level, if that would be useful...

And if the estimated quality can be displayed in the browser, couldn't it also be added to the viewer Properties display?

Re: Re-ordering Batch Convert Actions

Trying to re-order the actions in the Batch Convert feature is an extremely trying experience. First, I'm constantly accidentally re-ordering any time I'm trying to adjust a slider and am off by 1px. Re-ordering should be a very deliberate action. Perhaps make a special grab handle in the header, o...

Re: NConvert pour un débutant

'nconvert' n’est pas reconnu en tant que commande interne ou externe, un programme exécutable ou un fichier de commandes. Yes, that can be a problem: First, right-click on the nconvert.exe file icon, select Properties, and on the General tab, at the bottom Security, if necessary Unblock the file. I...
