Well, the version on my Desktop is 0.93.1 whereas the version on my laptop is the latest. Methinks that's the driver.
If you reinstall the earlier version? Old versions

Re: Questions again

I didn't receive answers to my old questions, so I try to reformulate them: 1) I use the Fusion Dark theme. In the file list (despite the foreground color I choose under Settings->File list->Format colors) the files' details text always appears in black (as well as the folders) Please note that in ...

Re: cropping image to portrait

If you are correct, that sounds like a program bug, or are you suggesting some type of user error? Metadata is not my subject as I said, but AFAIK some image files contain orientation data which, according to the save settings used, may not be retained when the modified file is saved. Perhaps you c...

Could this possibly be a metadata problem:

I have the same issue, where I can download older working version?
Versions back to the original 0.94 can still be downloaded from the XnView MP - General Support forum heading, earlier versions from the following link if you scroll well down:

Re: Displaying specific items of metadata?

I frequently test lenses at different apertures on the same test subject. The metadata which is displayed below each thumbnail is more than I require and slows me down when I am skimming through dozens of apparently identical pictures. The main info I require is basically what is shown on the bottom...

Re: Contacting moderators & admins

Just signed up to ask about xn resize but I'm not allowed into the forum ??? Initial posts by new members have to be approved which results in some delay, does that explain your issue? If you post in the XnResize section of the forum there should be no problem, unless of course you wish to post spam!

Re: How to use "Set categories"

I don't use categories myself, but if you are new to XnView software you might consider looking at XnView MP, the newer software under more active development and the future of XnView... It has enhanced image management capabilities, Unicode support and an attractive new interface... :D

Re: CANON ScanGear cannot stay open

Hello Pierre, this works perfectly well, thank you. Would it be a viable idea to make this available in the settings/options for conveniance? A practical problem with settings options is that users will often not be aware of the option, or be slow to discover it: Would it possibly be better to set ...
