Re: PDF: How to view other pages than the first?

On the XnConvert Actions tab Preview display there does seem to be no way to step through the pages of a multi-page file to check the effect of an action... :(

Re: PDF: How to view other pages than the first?

When loading a PDF file, how can I view other pages than the first one? There is no next page button. In which program? In XnConvert it is possible to step through the pages of a multi-page file using the arrow keys in the preview window, in XnView Classic and XnView MP use the small arrows on the ...

Re: Nothing happening on newly installed XnConvert

Do you have Ghostscript installed? Have you set the DPI to be used when the image is opened on the Settings tab – Load format settings... ? There is an option on the Output tab – After conversion – Open file explorer which may be useful... :D Otherwise, if possible could you upload an example PDF fi...

Re: CR2 to JPG format conversion results in loss in resolution

Sure, I can recommend some changes. ... Perhaps the issue is that you need to make it obvious that these settings apply as defaults to certain actions and make this more obvious/visible when you're configuring up a workflow. Yes, but how? One possibility might be a prominent notice on the Input tab...

Re: Saving to pdf file

A small update: 1 I have been unable to delete the Helvetica font shown in the Properties of your file using Adobe Acrobat [Standard XI] for some reason. 2. Re-saving the file using 'Print to file' from software that supports that or an installed 'printer' seems to remove the font shown in Propertie...

Re: Saving to pdf file

But in the organization to which I send the file check the structure of the pdf file. They need strictly scanned files (conversion from *.doc or *.docx is not valid). I don't know why they have such demands. Possibly because PDF files created by converting *.doc or *.docx files would contain vector...

Re: Saving to pdf file

When you create a multi-page pdf file (or batch scan to pdf), XnView adds "Helvetica" font information to the file. The PDF file is as you say an image file, so the font information arbitrarily entered in the file Properties has no practical significance, does it? This does not allow you to configu...

Re: [BUG?] CR2 to JPG format conversion results in loss in resolution

Great, thanks! I have found the option in there. For feedback, I must say that the option wasn't obvious (this is the first time I've used this program) and I wouldn't have expected XnConvert to reduce the resolution by default unless I had specifically asked it to. It is a common problem when open...

DWG format - Display message if required plugin is not installed

When a DWG file is opened the embedded thumbnail is displayed in both the browser and viewer, but the full image can only be viewed if the required plugin is installed. This seems an unusual situation that can easily cause confusion. It would therefore be useful if a message is displayed indicating ...

It would be closer to the Automatic crop or Zealous crop option, but with the ability to exclude one or more sides. As far as I can tell, Crop and Canvas resize crop by specific amounts.
You are asking to add Automatic crop options to select the side(s) to be auto-cropped?

Re: [Feature request] Trim selected sides

The actions Crop and Canvas resize both provide options to crop from a nominated edge, does one of those meet your needs? :D

In XnConvert (or Batch convert in XnView MP) you can also program multiple instances of an action, if you need to trim more than one side.

NConvert 7.00 - Bug when output filename contains a numeric enumerator

NConvert 7.00 introduced a bug when the numeric enumerator # is used in an output filename. In the code below, which outputs renumbered copies of four files in a folder Test: Expected result: output files numbered 001 002 003 004 Actual result: output files numbered 003 004 005 006 D:\Desktop\Test>n...

Re: Support multicore CPUs

You are using XnView Classic?

The newer XnView MP has at least some support for multi-core processing, I believe, if not the priority is likely to be to add it to that program...
