Re: I would like a tiled view of the same image

Is there any chance we'll get a "View as Tiled" that can be zoomed with the scroll-wheel? As-is, "View as tiled" only works for small images.

Re: I would like a tiled view of the same image

Yes in XnView MP 0.38 , a user can now right-click on the preview pane in Browser view and select " Draw as tiled " "Draw as Tiled" is, in my opinion, a step in the right direction, but it's missing a crucial function. Right now, "Draw as Tiled" allows you to view a horizontal tiling of the image, ...

Re: Recommended File-Rename-Tools?

+1 for the previous suggestion of Bulk Rename Utility @ http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php
It's an integtral part of my workflow, portable, easily customizeable through profiles for repetitive tasks, supports regex, etc. Definitely try it out.

Not particularly big, no.. It happens with PSDs as small as 2MB and up to ~200MB.

Crash when folder contents change (PSD files)

I've encountered a bug which has been happening to me through several versions of XNView now. At first I thought it was something with my machine but I can reproduce the crash every time I try. Here is the procedure I use to recreate the bug 100% when testing: Open a folder with several images in it...

Re: Question re converting TGA to TIF

Ok, so if I had None and None selected for the two drop-downs, I was by default converting without any JPEG compression at all. That's good to know because I was contemplating having to reprocess several thousand images!

Re: Question re converting TGA to TIF

The displayed JPEG quality setting will only affect the file size when saving to TIFF with JPEG compression option selected... Well, the JPEG Quality setting isn't really an on or off setting.. it's just there... so it's impossible to tell if it's actually being used or not, because file size alone...

Re: Question re converting TGA to TIF

Not sure if you saw the edit I added, but after doing those 3 tests, all 3 files were binary-identical, and I should have also mentioned, all 3 were exact same filesize as well which, I guess, follows from the fact that they were binary identical.. but yes.. regardless of JPEG 80, JPEG 100, or Binar...

Re: Question re converting TGA to TIF

I'm sorry, I still don't understand why a "JPEG Quality" option exists in a TGA to TIF conversion in the first place. Are you saying that by enabling LZW compression, I'm automatically disabling the JPEG Quality setting, and at the same time preserving 100% quality from the TGA to TIF? When I select...

Question re converting TGA to TIF

I need to batch convert a folder of TGAs to TIF format, and will need to repeat the process, so I'm creating a Batch Processing script which I can reuse. In the Formar dropdown, I've selected: "TIF - TIFF Revision 6" as the output format. I notice that when I click "Options" there is a "JPEG QUALITY...

2. On the right side thumbnail window .... right-click-and-drag while holding the right-button, you simply drag to the destination, let go, and select move or copy To copy, hold down Ctrl while dragging with the left mouse. Move is the default anyway. Interesting, will try it out in the morning, th...

xnView: Ability to right-click drag and copy or move

Is there any chance that we might get more direct file management functions aside from the "Copy" and "Copy to Folder" functions? It would be great if: 1. In the directory tree on the left, be able to move folders into other folders or rearrange. I know that we can do this by left-click-dragging fro...

Re: Tiled preview of selected image

Is there any chance of this coming to xnView or will it only be in MP?

And yes, the ability to pan while holding down the mouse button or zoom with the mouse wheel would be excellent.

Re: Batch Processing "Move File" function

I was hoping to be able to use $\JPG or $\TIF etc etc to create the copy-to or move-to folder directly under the copy-from or move-from folder... So this: root\ folder_1\ folder_2\ folder_2\subfolder_1\ becomes: root\ folder_1\TIF\ folder_2\TIF\ folder_2\subfolder_1\TIF\ Basically, every folder gets...
