Some weeks passed, and noone confirmed that the setting 'Use lossless rotation (if possible)' really works. So I will post a bug report, shortly.

Re: Lossless Icons for the Viewer's toolbar
If I'm not mistaken, … cmd_flipH cmd_flipV cmd_rotate90 cmd_rotate270 … are lossless if Use lossless rotation (if possible) in Tools → Settings… → Misc. is activated. I followed your hint, good point, but I have two indications that the setting 'Use lossless rotation (if possible)' could be not wor...

Re: Lossless Icons for the Viewer's toolbar
... do a clean install? icons have been available since at least version 1.5.5 This was good advise, thank you. I had to hide my XnViewMP roaming folder beforehand of the update installation, to get the new icons. I do find these icons quite useful. The update history proves me right that it was a ...

Re: Lossless Icons for the Viewer's toolbar
I doubt its good idea to add 2 specific buttons to the default toolbar. Don't worry, the configurable toolbars would allow you to stay with the user interface as you are used to it, while others could benefit from improvements. better to add 1 'menu' button No no, this cumbersome "one more click"-w...

Re: Next File-Button shows previous file
... the default Previous and Next button (and keyboard) actions should be the reverse of the present defaults?? For me it works: if numbered in ascending mode, the 'Next' button loads the next file in ascending order. ... of the present defaults?? No such default exists. The current order in the vi...

Re: Next File-Button shows previous file
Thank you, this is the solution: I just need to switch to the browser and use the green 'Sort by' button. :D Browser sort was descending, hence the viewer buttons worked in reverse. I whished there would be a sort button available for the customizable viewer toolbar, because I rarely use the browser...

Next File-Button shows previous file
In the viewer mode toolbar, there are two buttons with blue colored arrows. The mouse-over pop-up text of the left directed arrow says 'Previous file', while the arrow pointing to the right should be 'Next file'. My problem ist: the buttons seem to work in the reverse direction, in relation to the n...

Re: Fit image to window - does not work bug report
True! Without zoom lock, Auto image size works well. Interacting features, no bug.
Thank you for your help
Finally, how is the 'Reset' auto image size option functioning? I found some earlier posts mentioning the reset option, but I could not figure out.

Re: Fit image to window - does not work bug report
I have 'no fit' in View - Auto image size, even though the Tools - Settings - View - View - Auto image size is set to 'Fit image to window, large only' Only, if I change to 'Fit image to window, large only'' in the viewer, it stays that way for the next/previous image, and for double-click on an ima...

Re: Fit image to window - does not work bug report
Yes, I changed Settings>View - Auto image size. This is what I meant with 'permanent' setting. But it does not work, images are displayed 1:1 when opened. The recent update to XnviewMP 1.4.3 did not make it better, so I came back to my post, to see - no action taken :( The feature I need is 'fit ima...
