Re: Add support for .lip files
Went searching the internet for some example files, and found an old thread about this format on this very forum: https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=28554
You asked for the file to be mailed to you, I don't know whether the person did that or not, so anyway, I'm sending you that very file ...

Add support for .lip files
Since I'm on the topic of .clip files...
.lip is a file format produced by old versions of Manga Studio / Clip Studio, that predates the newer .clip format. Luckily, since XnView already supports .clip, adding support for .lip is incredibly trivial.

XnView: MP 0.98.4 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit
XnView MP creates one .tmp file for each .clip it opens, and for whatever reason shortly after startup it does that for every file in the current directory (presumably to generate thumbnails?). I understand this is done to copy over the SQLite ...

Fixed, though color preview on the button is now completely opaque, even when alpha < 255.

Re: MP 0.39: Alpha value on color selector dialog is ignored
There is no difference in ease of access. But I would prefer using one from color dialog, as it is more straightforward and frees a bit of space in parent dialog.
It would also be cool to give button a checkerboard background, so transparency would be more visible.

Re: Suggestion: High quality zoom only on fit
Yep, that will do.
But it would be even better to have something like this:

1. Open any 32-bit image with alpha transparency.
2. "Image" > "Canvas resize..."
3. Specify larger size.
4. Open "Background color" picker.

MP 0.39: Opening from command line with 8.3 path
If XnViewMP was opened from a command line with the filepath in 8.3 pattern (e.g. xnview.exe "C:\SOMELO~1\NGFOLD~1\ERNAME\image.bmp") it will display the image, but be unable to scroll through filelist.

MP 0.39: No "Tools" menu in viewer mode
Viewer mode's toolbar is lacking "Tools" menu, that is only accessible from browser mode. I doubt that it includes some options that should not be usable from viewer mode, so I see no reason not to put it in viewer mode as well.

MP 0.39: Alpha value on color selector dialog is ignored
Although color selector dialog has a field for alpha channel (I believe it is some sort of default picked for Qt, right?) and the selected color is shown on the button with the transparency, it is, however, ignored for XnView functions, which use alpha values from custom fields near colorselect ...
