Re: Wallpaper history and file size

I've found a dozen old wallpapers in the xnview folder today, I suppose xnview needs these files to turn back to the previous wallpaper after you have changed it (a feature I adore...). However, even not many files can take as much as 60-70MB space, as in my case. So I'd like to know why all previo...

Thanks Dreamer, that's what I mean.
Could this be possible? IMO, I think it is very intuitive and convenient. :D

Enhance categories and folders

Now Xnview has the ability to assign folders and pictures to categories. My suggestion is: can we expand the category treelist if there are folders in it? For example: If I add Folder-1, 2, 3 to Categore-1, I hope the categore can be expanded while I click on it. It's just like the behavior in the F...

* if we have tagged & selected files, drag&drop check if the drag item is in tagged or selected files Do you mean to move both tagged and selected files? If so, that would be a good idea. But under what circumstance does user have to both tag and select files? No, only drag tagged files if the drag...

Not only me but also Dreamer have this problem.
Pierre, do you use English XP/2000?
I'm using Traditional Chinese XP.

What do you think if it works like that: * if we have only tagged files, drag&drop works on tagged files * if we have only selected files, drag&drop works on selected files Good :p * if we have tagged & selected files, drag&drop check if the drag item is in tagged or selected files Do you mean to m...

Not easy. If you have tagged files, so the drag&drop must use these files instead of selected files, right?
Right.

But what I don't understand is:
Since you can copy/move the tagged files instead of selected files, why can't this feature be implemented?

1.9.1.1: Can't create new folders

Here are the steps.
  1. Select a file or some files to copy/move.
  2. The copy/move dialog with folder tree pops up.
  3. I select the root directory, the Desktop.
  4. The "New folder" button at the left-bottom corner grays out.
I think it should be a bug, the button should be enabled.

Request: Add tagged files to categories.

Is there any way to add multiple tagged files to categories?

I suppose to drag and drop the tagged files to categories to add, but I failed.

I think this is a useful function that XnView misses, would you consider to add it?

Check this suggestion : 'Fit in' resizes the picture so that it fits entirely into the specified area (+empty borders) whereas 'Fit over' resizes the picture so that it fills the specified area (+extra borders cropped). I got it, thanks. It would be good if there also is a "Best fit over" option fo...

What is "Fit over (W or H)"

In v1.90, the Resize function has an option called "Fit over (W or H)".

Can somebody tell me what it is?

Thanks.

Since I enable "Always" and set suffix to "_###",
the 2 filenames I highlighted should be 2006-12-04_001.jpg and 2006-12-09_001.jpg.

I don't agree. I see a difference between: - 12h20 A , 12h20 B , 12h21 C , 12h22 D ... you would get with the normal filename template - 12h20 A , 12h20 B , 12h21 A , 12h22 A ... you would only be able to get with the duplicate template AND 'always' (notice the 'restart' of index at each change in ...
