I forgot to mention that the problem happened on Linux. I just clean installed v1.40 and still can comfirm this problem.
Windows version seems to be good.

Can't read or write negative altitude value to EXIF
I have some photos taken in basins below sea level, but the altitude values shown in XnviewMP are always positive. And it's not possible to write a negative altitude to photo by editing GPS data in XnviewMP.

No. Everytime after I delete a file in browser, I have to select and deselect preview as tab to get the GPS tab back.

Ok, I can get back the GPS tab this way. But when I selected a geo-tagged picture and deleted it, the GPS tab disappered again.

Yes, but only on Ubuntu 21.04. I didn't notice this issue when using 0.98.2 on 20.10.

When clicking an item in settings, the words disappear and replaced by a box. I'm using ubuntu 21.04. Windows version is not affected.
