just downloaded, installed & tried out 1.82, and guess what: no more error messages or crashes! you guys are incredible! wish I knew what was wrong, but I am no expert, so forget it.

So please try with RC1 or wait till 1.82 release. Maybe your problem has already been solved there.

I did as you suggested, & installed the RC1, but the problem remains: as soon as I open the folder in question in thumbnails, the same report appears after showing some 3 or 4 thumbnails ...
