It would be great if XMP allowed you to rate your images with short cuts while viewing them in a slide show:

I have XnView 1.97.8
When I add a rating it is not saved to the XMP data.
How exactly do I turn this option on? I looked up Tools | Options (F12) but couldn't see any option to set this up.

Setting Rating with Ctrl + Numberpad X fails in View mode
XnView version: 1.97.8
OS: Windows XP
1. Setting Rating with Ctrl + Numberpad 1,2,3,4 or 5 to set rating works perfectly in Browser view.
2. If I go to view mode, Ctrl + Numberpad 1,2,3,4 or 5 to set rating causes XnView to ask me whether to save changes, but does cause the rating to be saved.
