Aspect ratio in viewer mode (visible area indicated) wrong

Post by xiofen »

ok complex to describe :

This happens in viewer mode
The aspect ration error happens in the "visible area view box" (?) that appears bottom right when the image does not fit inside the viewbox
When switching between images with different aspect ratios a second image with different aspect ratio will be displayed distorted in the "visible area viewbox" (bottom right)

How to demonstrate:
1.Place/create two images in a folder, one wide eg 10000x100, one tall eg 100x100000
2.Open one of the images in view mode
3.Zoom into the image so that the view area box appears
3a(optional) adjust the size of the bottom right view pane
4.Use previous/next to move to the next image (add to toolbar if necessary, or use keyboard shortcuts)
5.Zoom into the new image so that the bottom-right "visible area box" appears
6.Note that the visible area box is displayed with a distorted aspect ratio

Suggestion - store "image area" as a metric for "visible area" box size, and then scale to appropriate ratio - should allow images with different aspect ratios to be displayed consistently
