0.84b2: Draw tool: Mouse pointer wrong when dragging image

Post by helmut »

0.84 beta 2

In the Draw tool, one can move the zoomed image using the right mouse button and keeping it pressed. The shape of the mouse pointer isn't set properly when using the hand tool:

1. Open draw tool
2. Select "Line" shape.
--> Mouse pointer changes to "Draw" (correct)
3. Zoom into the image (e.g. 800%) so that only parts of your image is displayed.
4. Right click onto the image and keep the right mouse button pressed.
--> Mouse pointer changes to "Hand" (correct)
5. Move the mouse while still keeping the right button pressed.
--> Mouse pointer changes to "Draw" (bug 1, The mouse pointer should be "Hand") :bug:
6. Do no longer move the mouse and release the right mouse button.
--> Mouse pointer changes to "Select" (bug 2, The mouse pointer should be "Draw") :bug:

Confirmed!

BTW, can we please have a Zoom percentage display on Draw window status bar would be nice!

Thank you for confirming, ckit. Yes, the Zoom percentage would be handy. But I think for now the features of the draw tool in XnView Classic should be the goal, not extra stuff regardless how simple it would be to add. (I have some extra things on my mind but don't post them either.)

0.84 beta 3:

Handling of mouse pointer symbol seems to be completely broken:
- When moving mouse pointer over resize handles, the mouse cursor no longer changes.
- When moving mouse pointer over an object, the mouse cursor no longer changes
- When moving/dragging an object, the mouse cursor no longer changes.
- ...

Fixed in beta 4.

Minor problem left: When selecting an object the mouse cursor doesn't change to "Move" until you move the mouse (slightly).

Is it really a problem? :)
If we select an object, the mouse cursor is always in select. Once you start a move, the cursor change to a move cursor.
