IPTC changes are not read by ACDSee

Post by Butterfly »

Problem: i had written some entries into the iptC "Authors" and "Categories". Later I changed the entries and sent the photos to a collegue.
Those changes can not be seen by other persons that use ACDsee. So they on the same picture diffent iptc than me.
In Fast Stone Image viewer, i could see the changes in the Categories, but not in the "Author".

i looked into the xmp. it seems, that Xnview also changed the xmp, but just the first time i wrote into it, not showing the changes i added later.
this entries seem to block the coorect view of iptc in other programs.
So what to do ?
- how comes this (by copying to another disc ?), how can it be avoided ?
- should i delete all xmp (that hamper the iptc?), how can this be done automaticly for a great number ?

Thanks a lot!!! :P

Entries i found in the XMP in Xnview (not actively added by me! must have happened through Xnview sometime, but the new changes are not in there:

Hi Pierre,
thanks a lot
i have solved the problem.
i did not mark: Change also the xmp.
The ACDsee works obviously in priority not with the iptc, but with the xmp, so that if you dont overwrite the xmp,
the acdsee will not show the changes in the iptc....
