XnView: MP 0.85 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Trying to rename files in thumb+details view causes a strange message to appear:
"The destination contains already a folder with same name, what do you want to do?"
with the buttons: [Skip] [Overwrite] [Abort]
Effect: can't rename files properly in that view.
To reproduce:
1. set the view
2. rename a file with F2 or normally
Actual behaviour (bug): is the program trying to create a folder for some reason? O_o
EDIT: sometimes it makes a copy of the file, even if you click "Abort".
Expected behaviour: rename a file like in the other views.

Re: 0.85: Renaming files bug in thumb+details view
Tested with 0.87 beta 3, partly fixed.
First tried to reproduce, it turns out that Settings, General, tab File operations "Use dialog to rename..." must be switched off
Now it is possible to rename a file without error message, but ONLY when a complete new filename is typed.
Try to use the arrow keys to go forward/backward in the filename. It is impossible and there is no cursor.
I now understand where the bug comes from and why the message came "The destination contains already a folder with same name, what do you want to do?"...
While in the rename process, I tried arrow keys first and saw no cursor, then I pressed backspace, and I noticed the focus in the Folder pane went one level up. So under water the program still does something with folders, not files.

Re: 0.85: Renaming files bug in thumb+details view
Tested in 0.87 final, fixed.
In the thumbs + details view filenames can be renamed now, including the use of cursor keys and backspace.
