I support this suggestion. It is really often desirable to zoom in while in a slideshow.
Of course, one could view the pictures one by one and have the zooming and panning effects, even in fullscreen.
But then you don't have the smooth transitions from picture to picture.

Re: mobile XnView gallery viewer?
Well, I did not install and try every accessible app.xnview wrote:And you have not found an app for that??
I looked at the feature descriptions of some but could not find this feature mentioned.
If there is really such an app then I'd appreciate to learn the name.
Thanks and regards

Re: mobile XnView gallery viewer?
Has anything happened regarding this topic? I too am very interested to be able to display IPTC tags (e.g. headline) on an Android smartphone during a slide show or while displaying pictures one by one. On my PC I have configured XnView to overlay the picture at the bottom with such text. 't would b...

slideshow zoom and pan during pause
Is there an option or a hot key which I've missed, that allows to zoom in on a picture and pan, during a slideshow while it is paused?
I need it in the slideshow with its cross-fade effect. The quick slideshow or view mode does not have transitions.

Re: Special character treatment with Create Web Page
Pierre, may I call to your attention that this problem is still not solved? All these years I have helped myself by avoiding these special characters in the text which is to be displayed on the web page. But with the time I find this restriction cumbersome and inelegant. Would it be possible to make...

Re: ListViewHeight and PreviewHeight in .ini-file not respec
Thank you, Pierre. Your answer told me that it could not be a general problem with Windows 7. So I did some more testing. Interesting was, that XnView in the Administrator account behaved properly. Therefore I created a testuser account. In the new account then, the described problem did not appear....

Re: ListViewHeight and PreviewHeight in .ini-file not respec
I performed some more tests by moving other separation lines: the ListViewWidth and ListWidth changes were preserved across XnView restarts.
It's only the ListViewHeight and PreviewHeight which are reset to the same initial size at every start of XnView.

Re: ListViewHeight and PreviewHeight in .ini-file not respec
Pierre, I use the 4th layout: directories on the left, listview and preview on the right, with listview on top. In WinXP (which I have still running on another PC) I have installed XnView 1.98.2. In Win7 it is 2.05. I just installed 1.98.2 on Win7 to test. The result is the same as with 2.05: the Li...

ListViewHeight and PreviewHeight in .ini-file not respected
Recently I moved from WinXP to Win7 and installed XnView 2.05 on the new system. Now I notice a behaviour in the Browser that I did not have with WinXP: When I resize the ListView and PreviewView fields by moving the separation line, this new setting is written to the .ini-file (ListViewHeight and P...

Re: Picture numbers on web pages
Thanks, The second link (http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=11791&p=44797#p44797) might be of some help. There Pierre says: Et sinon vous avez accès à tous les tags reconnus par xnview comme #<IPTC:Caption># I think I'll try this: <table> <tr><td>#<IPTC:Headline>#</td></tr> <tr><td><img src...

Picture numbers on web pages
On the web pages created by XnView I would like to show the picture sequence number and total number of pictures (i.e. something like: "Picture 5 of 13"). I know that I can set a picture sequence number (#) in the "Information displayed" field on the Wep Page Create panel. This information can then ...

Re: file date/time not changed when saving
I found why XnView does not change date/time when saving: The "Save - KeepOrgDate" flag was set to 1. Setting it to 0 solved the problem. I don't know how this flag could have been set to 1. I didn't do it. (N.B. I keep the settings in the registry) I tried to change the flag via the OPTIONS panel i...

Re: file date/time not changed when saving
I did some tests: The problem appears also with previous releases of XnView. It exists only with my non-privileged userid on Windows XP. Logged on as an administrator, the problem does not show. However, under my userid all other programs change the file date/time when they save a file. It's just Xn...

file date/time not changed when saving
In XnView version 1.98.2 I notice that the date/time of an image file does not change when I save the modified image.
It worked in previous versions.
I have the checkmark OFF for: Options - General - File Operations - "Keep date/time for saving".
Is this problem known?
